Day 1 - Red Horse Inn
We started our trip flying into Boston Logan International airport, renting a car, and driving an hour and a half south to the town of Falmouth. We were staying there so we could catch the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard first thing in the morning. We stayed at a really neat little motel called the Red Horse Inn. It wasn't fancy but it was clean and very comfortable and only a block from where we caught the ferry. It had a breakfast area in a separate building known as the barn it was about a 10' x 10' room where they held continental breakfast with all the usual fixings. It was quite cozy.

Day 2 Martha's Vineyard
The ferry arrives at Martha's Vineyard in the town of Oak Bluffs. That's where you can do lots of shopping and eating at the various establishments as well as catch the tour bus that takes you all around the island. The town of Oak Bluffs is also where they have all those small little colorful cottages that they're famous for at Martha's Vineyard. We ended up taking the tour bus in the afternoon circling most of the island. We saw where Jackie Onassis lived, many small little towns as well as the southern point lighthouse at the cliffs of Aguinnah. It was a lot of fun and the driver was very funny.

Day 3 Nantucket
We got a late start this morning and only had a half a day at Nantucket since we had to leave and drive up to Boston to check into our hotel. We didn't have time to take a tour of the island of Nantucket, we basically just had enough time to walk around and look at a few things. We walked down to the lighthouse and we stopped in and toured the Maritime Museum. Jan was hoping we could spend more time there but it just didn't work out. The ferry only runs every three hours, so we decided to take the 3pm one back and not wait for the 6pm ferry. Just one more spot to add to our return list.
